Flathead Rivers Alliance and Montana Kayak Academy will hold their first annual end-of-season river gear swap and celebration on Saturday, Sept. 24th, 2022 2:00-6:00 PM at Marantette Park (133 13th St. E., in Columbia Falls). This is your chance to buy, sell and swap rafts, kayaks, SUPs, duckies, roof racks, overnight gear, and other river gear while supporting both nonprofit organizations. Come toast to a great float season! Join us 4:00-6:00 PM for a bite to eat and bring a cup and we will fill it up thanks to beer donations from Flathead Lake Brewing and Sacred Waters Brewing.
Payment Options: If you’re buying gear that Montana Kayak Academy and Flathead Rivers Alliance are selling you’ll have the option to pay cash, venmo, or card with our square reader. If you’re buying person to person from public at event be ready to offer cash or venmo payments for gear (depends on individual seller’s preference of payment).

DONATE USED GEAR
Drop donated used river gear at Lary's Fly & Supply (604 Nuclues Ave., Columbia Falls, MT) now till Sept. 23rd. Donated gear will be sold Sept. 24th during event and 100% of those proceeds will benefit FRA and MKA programming. *If you’re donating life jackets specifically for Flathead Rivers Alliance’s loaner life jacket program make sure to include note on life jacket. Organization will decide if it meets criteria for loaner program.
SELL USED GEAR
River Gear Swap is open to anyone who wishes to sell, buy or trade gently-used river gear with other individuals. Any river gear is welcome, including (but not limited to) rafts, kayaks, canoes, paddles, PFDs/Life Jackets, roof racks, overnight river gear. Participants need to come ready to receive or offer cash or venmo payments for gear (depends on your preference of payment).
PERSON TO PERSON
Person to person exchange only. If you would like to sell gear at the event, we ask for a 15-20% donation to MKA and FRA.
HYBRID SILENT AUCTION
Want to sell gear, but not able to stay during event? Drop item off with asking price and we’ll sell it for you. Anything above asking price will go to benefit MKA and FRA. You’ll receive payment for your item after event.
