2024 Flathead Waters Cleanup
2024 marked the 4th Annual Flathead Waters Cleanup event. The event is a Flathead Basin wide event bringing together agencies, organizations, and community members in an all-day volunteer event to clean-up trash and celebrate the region’s incredible waterways. Thank you for showing up and getting out there on the waterways! Looks like over 3,000 pounds of trash were pulled off waterways across the Flathead Basin. Flathead Rivers Alliance recruited and coordinated volunteers on the Three Forks of Flathead River (Flathead Headwaters) down to Teakettle River Access on mainstem cleaning up 81.5 miles of stream. Huge thanks to this year's volunteers, sponsors and co-hosts that worked across the Flathead Basin during this one-day cleanup event 🌊
Team Fish Farmers (Backcountry Hunters & Anglers/Flathead Rivers Alliance/Gateway to Glacier Trails) won heaviest haul for this year’s cleanup!
Underwater Soldiers dive team once again pulled in the heaviest load and most unique finds out of Flathead Lake during cleanup! Team Underwaters Soldiers had participants from across the State of Montana join the Flathead Waters Cleanup. They consistently pull in the largest load and request to be in a category of their own for prizes.
